Welcome to The Baths, Virgin Gorda, where Mother Nature has outdone herself in crafting a truly remarkable spectacle.

A Natural Playground Like No Other

This geological wonderland is a must-visit for anyone passing on a cruising charter. As you approach, you'll be greeted by towering boulders, some as large as 40 feet in diameter, scattered along the shoreline like giant puzzle pieces waiting to be explored.

It's as if Mother Nature decided to play interior designer, creating a mesmerizing landscape that invites you to dive in and explore every nook and cranny.

These cavernous formations are a testament to the geological forces at play, with molten rock once creeping into the volcanic rock layers below. Slow cooling and subsequent erosion sculpted these imposing boulders over time, creating a mesmerizing landscape that extends to Fallen Jerusalem.

As an unpopulated island just south of Virgin Gorda, Fallen Jerusalem got its intriguing name from the colossal boulders strewn across the landscape, some weighing thousands of tons, evoking an eerie semblance to a decimated cityscape. It was designated as a wildlife sanctuary in 1959.

Navigating through this labyrinthine marvel is made easier by a series of steps and rope handrails that guide adventurers along a trail from The Baths beach to the tranquil expanses of Devil’s Bay.

From crystal-clear pools to mysterious tunnels and secret grottoes, every corner of The Baths is a new discovery.

Dive In and Let the Adventure Begin!

Tie up to the dinghy line, slip on your fins and goggles, and prepare for an aquatic adventure like no other. There is a swim line that you can hang onto but sometimes it's covered with barnacles, therefore get your flippers on and enjoy the swim. Pool noodles can also come in handy.

You can safely leave your fins on the beach. We also took flipflops with, in a mesh bag as there is a rocky path one has to follow to pay. It is navigable on bare feet but more comfortable in flip flops on the hot summer sand and hard rocky paths.
